An independent comedy club in a Bristol basement, run by people who'd be there anyway.
Why we started it
Bristol has always had a brilliant comedy scene and this is just the next step. Our founder Burt has been running shows, setting up clubs and making great nights happen for nearly eight years now. All around town, a few years here, a few years there. This isn't that. This is the big swing, the magnum opus. The eggs all in one basket.
The Hedgehog Comedy Club marks Burt's return to running his regular night at Basement 45. He's on a mission to showcase the best in British comedy with tickets that cost less than a round and a stage close enough that means we're all in it together.
We book big names, up & comers and everything in between. The only thing that matters is that they are as funny as it gets. No frills, no faff just you and top comedy talent in Bristol's best independent comedy club.

Bristol based comedian, improviser and comedy producer. Burt's style combines quick crowd work, sharp punchlines, sarcasm and an unpredictable but likeable stage presence. He runs the room, brings the laughs and keeps the whole night moving.
